Simply put, Stanley Clarke is a living legend. His career, which spans more than five decades, has been defined by groundbreaking achievement, unparalleled virtuosity and commanding presence on stages around the world. A four-time Grammy Award-winning bassist and composer, he is widely recognized for his pioneering work in jazz fusion and for elevating the bass guitar, both acoustic and electric, to a prominent solo instrument. Prepare for a musical journey, in the intimate setting of the Jo Long Theatre, spanning his diverse and expansive career.

Clarke co-founded the influential band, Return to Forever, with the legendary Chick Corea and Lenny White, achieving significant commercial and critical success. Beyond his extensive discography as a bandleader and solo artist, Clarke is also an accomplished film and television composer, with numerous credits including Boyz N The Hood and What’s Love Got To Do With It. His innovation and influence have earned him a place in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
