Elegant and sumptuous, refined yet soulful

Grammy winning, R&B and jazz vocalist, Patti Austin made her debut at the Apollo Theater at the age of four and had a contact with RCA records when she was only five years old. With a now over sixty year career, Austin remains in constant demand for live performances globally. She had success as a teenager in the sixties as a R&B star before establishing herself as a mainstay among jazz and soul audiences through her ‘70s recordings. By the ‘80s Ms. Austin became known to the wider international audience as a result of the Grammy®-nominated “Baby Come to Me” and “How Do You Keep the Music Playing”, her early ‘80s classic duets with James Ingram, masterminded by musical godfather Quincy Jones.

The daughter of jazz trombonist Gordon Austin and goddaughter of musical legends Jones and Dinah Washington, Austin has 19 solo albums to her credit and has performed her award nominted songs on both the Grammys and the Oscars. Her velvety smooth voice has been heard behind everyone from Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, James Brown and Joe Cocker to Bette Midler, Roberta Flack, Luther Vandross and Diana Ross. The ultimate jazz/R&B/Pope crossover artist, Patti Austin continues to create milestones in an incredible career; a further testament to her status as a member of that rare breed: a true artist whose creativity knows no limits.

“Unquestionably a 21st century renaissance woman, Patti Austin continues to create milestones in an incredible career; a further testament to her status as a member of that rare breed: a true artist whose creativity knows no limits.”
