The production highlights a young girl, Clarissa, who is celebrating her quincancera on Christmas Eve. She is missing her closest cousin who is in the military, and she ignores all her family and friends who came to celebrate with her. While trying to escape the chaos, Clarissa is kidnapped by the characters from dreamland and rescued by her Nutcracker. With the help of the Nutcracker and the dreamland characters, Clarissa learns the true meaning of Christmas.
