The Carver’s spring break and summer arts camps in theatre, dance, and music production are the season’s hottest tickets, popular with both kids and parents. Taught by professional instructors, each experience is designed to encourage creativity, build self-confidence, promote positivity and personal growth.

Spring Break DJ Camp
March 11 – 15, 2024 (M-F; 8:30 am – 4:00 pm)
DJ Afterparty: Friday, March 15 at 7:00 pm
DJ Camp with The AM Project is an interactive adventure in music and technology. Music industry professionals teach students fundamental music production and DJ skills—beatmatching, equalization, pitch play, slicing, and sampling—along with song writing, graphic design and branding. Students learn teamwork skills, problem solving, and music theory while creatively expressing themselves. Each camp concludes with the highly anticipated and lively DJ Camp Afterparty, during which each student DJ performs a set of their own creation.
Summer Theatre Intensive
June 10 – 28, 2024 (M-F; 8:30 am – 4:00 pm)
Performance: Friday, June 28, 2024 at 7:00 pm
Our three-week Theatre Intensive offers young actors and technicians an immersive experience in theatre under the guidance of theatre professionals. The experience includes daily instruction in acting skills, vocal coaching, and choreography. Students interested in technical theatre will work alongside professional technicians on set design, construction, costuming, lighting, and sound. The intensive culminates in a fully produced performance featuring the full company.
Summer Dance Intensive
July 15 – 26, 2024 (M-F; 8:30 am – 4:00 pm)
Recital: Friday, July 26, 2024 at 7:00 pm
Under the guidance of professional dancers from internationally acclaimed Dallas Black Dance Theatre, student dancers will expand their artistry in a challenging, yet supportive environment. The program, curriculum includes instruction in ballet, contemporary, jazz and African dance vernaculars, with all dancers learning terminology, technique, and choreography. At the conclusion of the two weeks, the dancers will perform a recital showcasing their learning in each of the genres.
