Bad Mama Jama Remix: Let the Record Show
Bad Mama Jama Remix: Let the Record Show
Progressive Poetry
Following on the heels of the wildly popular Bad Mama Jama Mixtape, this second installment once again explores themes of modern day womanhood through music, monologue, spoken word and movement. While the format is similar to the first production, Remix features all new, original pieces inspired by the era and imagery of classic soul music; a time before cassettes when vinyl ruled.
Conceived by the immensely talented Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson, Bad Mama Jama Remix features a line-up of fierce, female artists including Glo Armmer, Naomi Sumthin2Say, Aminah Dece, Yvette Hardin, Tausha Jackson, dancers Lisa Martinez and Tamara Adira, DJ Ms. Eclectic, as well as a cameo appearance by set designer and arts activist Beatriz “Triz” Rodriguez
