SUMMARY:Cactus Pear Music Festival's 30th Anniversary Season: Brave New World
DESCRIPTION:Six free concerts. World-class artists. A season of transformation\, renewal\, and boundless possibility. \n\nCactus Pear Music Festival announces its 30th Season —”The Infinite Horizon” — with 5 exceptional programs and 18 world-class musicians. \nIn our 30th anniversary season\, The Infinite Horizon\, we explore themes of transformation\, renewal\, and possibility through two weeks of dynamic programming—celebrating moments of change\, contrast\, and transcendence in music. \nJoin us for our summer festival beginning July 10 in Blanco\, followed by San Antonio concerts on July 11–12 and July 17–19. All concerts are FREE. Registration is required for all performances—San Antonio concerts can be reserved via Eventbrite\, while opening night in Blanco offers free registration through https://www.blancoperformingarts.com/cpmf2026. Please note we will be performing across three venues this season. \n\nBrave New World \nExplores transformation as classical composers absorbed the vitality of ragtime and early jazz: Milhaud’s La création du monde\, Op. 81 (1923)\, Still’s Suite for violin and piano (1943)\, and a second half devoted to ragtime by Joplin and early jazz by Jelly Roll Morton. \nThis production is not a presentation of the Carver Community Cultural Center or the Carver Development Board.
