Lina

Haunted by her traumatic past and trapped in a toxic relationship, a young woman enlists her twin to temporarily switch places, only to unleash buried trauma that threatens to consume them both.

On One

A young boy is seized by border agents while helping his neighbor, Coach Nathaniel Ramos. As protests erupt in a South Texas town, a private reckoning unfolds between brothers: the coach and the agent who led the raid.

Only Here A Little Longer / Solo Aquí un Poco Más

Nineteen year old Sam Palacios’ last days before getting drafted into the Vietnam War in 1969.

Sometimes island / A veces isla

Two women meet on a date near the water, where the tension builds until a secret is revealed.

Subtract Nine Sundays

An affluent employer calls in his live-in nanny to settle unpaid wages; his unquestioned authority meets her resolute agency.

Adapted from an Anton Chekhov short story and set in contemporary Texas, Subtract Nine Sundays explores the dynamics of power. A sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA).

SweetNess

Ines, a baker with a thriving home business, has all the ingredients for success – except the confidence to open her own storefront. Her fiery Aunt Amalia pushes her to dream bigger and take more risks. Torn between fear and ambition, Ines expresses her inner turmoil through song, revealing the hopes and hunger for something more. When tragedy strikes, she must decide if she’s ready to rise and claim the life she’s always imagined.

Vexed

VEXED is a queer supernatural comedy short film written and directed by Mexican-American filmmaker Cassandra Quintela. This film is her thesis capstone project for the Radio-Television-Film program at the University of Texas at Austin. Inspired by Emma Seligman’s Bottoms and Andrew Fleming’s The Craft, Vexed mixes dark humor, 90s teen drama nostalgia, and a small dose of religious trauma. It follows misfits wielding chaotic powers, blending rebellion, romance, and a sacrilegious twist in homage to those cult classics we know and love.
