The Carver’s Spring Break and Summer Performing Arts Camps – spanning theatre, dance, and music production – are more than just fun; they’re unforgettable journeys into self-expression, confidence, and collaboration. Led by professional artists, each camp experience empowers youth to grow not only as artists, but as individuals. Designed to be intentionally accessible, camps offer low tuition and financial assistance through the ARTicipate! program – ensuring every child has the chance to shine. These are the moments they’ll remember – and the skills they’ll carry with them long after the final bow.

Spring Break DJ Camp
March 8 – 12, 2027
Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
DJ Camp Afterparty: Friday, March 12, 2027 at 7 PM
DJ Camp at the Carver is an interactive exploration of music, technology, and creative expression. Music industry professionals from the AM Project introduce students to the fundamentals of DJing and music production, including beatmatching, equalization, pitch play, slicing, and sampling, along with songwriting, graphic design, and branding. Along the way, students build teamwork and problem-solving skills while exploring music theory and developing their own creative voice. The week culminates in the lively DJ Camp Afterparty, where each student takes the stage to perform an original DJ set.
Summer Theatre Intensive
June 7 – 25, 2027
Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Performance: Friday, June 25, 2027 at 7 PM
The Carver’s three-week theatre intensive gives young performers and theatre technicians an immersive opportunity to learn, create, and collaborate with professional theatre artists. Students receive daily instruction in acting, vocal technique, and choreography, while those interested in technical theatre gain hands-on experience in set design and construction, costuming, lighting, and sound. Throughout the intensive, students build skills, confidence, and ensemble spirit as they work together toward a fully produced final performance featuring the entire company.
Summer Dance Intensive
July 12 – 23, 2027
Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Recital: Friday, July 23, 2027 at 7 PM
Under the guidance of professional dancers from internationally acclaimed Dallas Black Dance Theatre, student dancers will strengthen their technique and elevate their artistry in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and African dance. Each dancer will be supported, yet challenged, as they master choreography, refine skills and gain insight into lives of professional dancers. The intensive culminates in an inspiring final performance that celebrates their growth and artistry across every genre.
