The Carver School of Visual and Performing Arts offers a variety of classes that provide exposure to cultural traditions and legacies and expand the opportunities children have to explore their hidden artistic talents.

As the sole caretakers of African and African-American arts in South Texas, the Carver Community Cultural Center is in a unique position to provide arts experiences that merge the African and Hispanic cultures through the Carver School of Visual and Performing Arts. The Carver seeks to spark children’s imaginations with instruction in the subjects such as painting, ceramics, dance, African hand drumming and more.
